WHY ARE GREEN BEACONS REQUIRED ON MACHINERY?
In terms of use on plant machinery, they are used to indicate that the operators seat belt is in use.
Private ambulances and doctors also use LED Green Beacons but they are not exempt under the Road Traffic Act, such as the ability to proceed through a red traffic signal or exceed speed limits.
